what does the waitlist status look like in ur portal?
Guys, they may have sent the waitlistings now. Doesn’t mean there’s only rejections left, they already sent some rejections, if they were saving them up for one day they wouldn’t have released them before.
They said “We have received close to 90 thousand applications - all reviewed by human eyes. All freshmen decisions will be out shortly!”
Can it be rephrased as “We have received close to 90 thousand applications - all reviewed by human eyes. All freshmen rejection will be out shortly!”
It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out UCI game plan: 1st the honors, 2nd the acceptance, 3rd the waitlist, and the last for rejection. It is total common sense, like sorting through the pile of objects: first the best and last the unwanted. Sorry to all for the bad news. For the sake of your sanity, log off and enjoy the weekend.
^^^I completely agree. They already sent out some rejections, so they are clearly not saving them all for the end. Plus, not that many people (as far as I have seen) have been accepted. There are more acceptances rolling out too.
I just got waitlisted too and I applied for software engineering? Does anyone know what the chances are of getting accepted if you agree to participate in the waitlist?

I really think there are more acceptances. Like everyone said. There’s already been rejections. So that pattern isn’t right.
Waitlisted. 4.21 GPA 2070 SAT. @sbkid14 the purple boxes are replaced with green ones. Disappointed with waitlist, at least you don’t have to right a supplement like San Diego.
Are there statistics online about how many kids get into UCI after being waitlisted?

I like to add: there is still a slimmer of hope. May be there is a last chance of racking in the diamond in the rough. But by now, the chance of acceptance is slim at best.
I spent so much time on the supplement I wrote. Guess it was for nothing. I still think there is acceptances guys!
To all of you in disbelief, i believe you are correct that there will be some acceptances, but those acceptances will be as few as the rejections we have seen thus far on this thread. Uci does the same thing every year. They reject a few with the acceptances, but save the majority for the very end.
Waitlist stats from last year for all UC’s. Probably different this year due to budget issues.

Anyways guys I doubt they will post anything soon, they send out a batch everyday at around this time. They’ll send rejections, waitlists and acceptances tomorrow at this time.
Wow… waitlisted at SD Davis SB and now Irvine… this is just straight up torture
