can you guys comment on when you guys submitted your applications? one of my friends suggested that they might be releasing decisions based on when you turned them in and i submitted them on the day before they were due so it might make sense…is it true for you guys as well??

@spat77 I don’t think that’s right. My friend and I submitted our apps two days before the deadline and we received our acceptances on the first day.
I submitted my application on November 26.
My first major of choice is Business Administration (I don’t know what I was thinking when I applied), and alternate major Unaffiliated Undeclared.
in that case i hope we all hear some good news soon…
BTW i know some people on here applied to comp sci and eng as their first major and bus info manag. as their alternate…did you guys hear back already?
Submitted 11/29 - still no decision.
Got waitlisted yesterday at around 4:00 p.m…applied for political science with alternate as international studies…I’m a little disappointed…does UCI take a lot of people off of the waitlist?
Stats:
Weighted: 4.3
UC GPA: 4.0
ACT: 25 (it’s a little low I know)
Extracurriculars: Mascot at my school, NHS
4 APs, 1 IB
I have to say that your waitlisting came down to your extracurriculars. The school probably thinks that you have no life lol, which is probably false. Because seeming how things had gone for people, you seem to fit the credentials, but your ECs from what you have provided are pretty lacking. Hope the best for Ya!
@peacelove5432 Well, they do accept more people from the waiting list than other schools such as UC Berkeley and UCLA, but I’d say go with what is certain.

Yeah, I’d say that monday, rejection batches are going to start being sent out.

@identifiable Yeah, they get two days rest while we are consumed by never-ending anxiety lol. Maybe im being irrational with my expectation that they continue to release over the weekend.

I think that they probably received their decision before, but just checked yesterday. Not everybody is refreshing the admission portal every 5 mins like us :-SS
