***UC Irvine Class of 2020 Admissions Results/Stats Discussion***

Anyone know when Theater applicants are told and what the acceptance rate is? Is it typically one of the last majors? I can’t find information anywhere. I’m slowly dying.

ok thanks! @johnm2020

I give up

lol…have patience and endure! the 4 month wait is almost over.

Does anyone know if Irvine’s business administration program is selective? Is there a small number of spots available?

@MohammadG oh how do you know you got denied from UCSD? The portal has updated?

@vimyle I’m sorry, but at basically every single large university, a business-related major is impacted. It’s basically the most popular major.

@vimyle Idk about the # of spots but business is one of the most applied to majors for UCI, so my guess would be that it’s not impacted like engineering, but still kind hard :confused:

@henrytheunicorn Thanks for the reply! I was asking for a friend :slight_smile:

@ucgogo he said tbd: ucsd bruh

Business Admin was on UCI’s list for impacted majors last year. Not sure if it still is for this year.

@shev227 Ah I see, thanks!

@Gumbymom And do you know if they will admit you first before considering your major, or is your major a big factor in your acceptance?

@ucgogo no im march 30ed for ucsd, denied for ucd though

@vimyle: From my understanding, UCI admits into the University first and then into the major. Most UC’s do accept this way. There are exceptions such as UCD for Engineering which accepts by Department etc… I think major plays a big part in the # of applications that are received which can increase competition for specific majors: Engineering/CS/Biology/Business.

@Gumbymom Thank you for the reply!
