My daughter just checked her portal- She got accepted to undeclared /undecided although she applied to the Nursing program
So what does this mean actually? At first I thought it was Nursing but had to look closer-
@Ahnissa do they separate students according to their results? like accepted ones at one time and rejected ones at another time…?

MAJOR: Was Mech.Eng, but they put me as undeclared.
EC: Varsity swim, lots of volunteer hours

Folks… Someone posted that she called the UCI admissions office. They told her that the decisions are coming out in batches of students randomly selected. The batch that you wind up in has no bearing whatsoever on your credentials. So everyone who have not heard yet, don’t fret about it. You just haven’t been randomly selected to receive your decision yet.
@lovemyjob. My daughter also applied to nursing but was accepted to her alternate major Biology. Your daughter’s acceptance is to undeclared. This means she has been accepted to the university but not in the major she chose. For my daughter, she will go with her favorite direct entry RN program which will be USF, SDSU, or by some miracle UCLA. Good luck to your girl and go with the best university that accepts/wants her.
has anyone who applied cogsci or history heard yet?
@Erikacharm OK thanks- she wasn’t heavily excited about the program at UCI but she will likely go with USF
Interesting approach UCI takes in accepting our kids but not to their chosen major- they obviously had the credentials but we do know Nursing is so very selective.
So then are they done sending acceptances for the day?
@stephenpark07 I think yesterday they went until 6:30, but their office of admissions closed at 5, so I’m not really sure…

Son just admitted - 5:24 p.m. Last checked at 5:00 p.m., so the portal recently updated.
