@plsUCI lol, yikes, it’s not that people aren’t understanding that there are more acceptances, but the fact that not receiving an acceptance in the first batch kills more hope and motivation, that’s why we’re panicking. sure, there can be more acceptances but who are you to prove that? an uci admission officer? anything can happen right now, and they can just place the rest of us in waitlist to prevent what happened last year.

For everyone freaking out – can you please not. Irvine has literally said they are still rolling admissions and theres no way that they knocked everyone out in one day. I know a couple kids with perfect SAT’s and 4.0 UW GPA’s who have gotten into UCLA and other prestigious schools but haven’t heard back from Irvine. Stop assuming the worst and chill for a bit.
