I got rejected rip UCI had been my dream school for so long ahh due to family reasons, a lot of stuffs I couldn’t talk about in my application. It’s okay I guess everything happens for a reason. Many people with lower stats than me got in I kinda had hope but who am I kidding :(. Good luck to those still awaiting ^^ here’s my last and final post here~ bye bye it was a long and painful journey.
picked the username when my daughter was waitlisted 3 years ago at UCD and never found out anything till last day - that was the year when brown and napolitano were squabbling about funding for UCs each trying to play their trump cards. Latter Governor approved additional funding to take more local kids - and UC bailed out and said next year - I don’t think they increased the quota for local california residents at all but yet they sucked our tax money for > 30 years. Oh well - congrats to those that got into UC’s good luck getting classes in overcrowded projector rooms taught by TA’s - good luck to those waitlisted and for those rejected, consider it a “blessing in disguise” - signing off folks.
Today’s going to be my last day in this thread. During the start of my senior year, I was hype and all excited for attending a “prestigious” university in one year in a state I love! I researched about colleges as much I could, and I joined CC. Now, the wait and hype is all over, and rejections definitely hurt, but it made me stronger. Now I want to go back to the beginning of my senior year where all of this started, but time flies! In no time, we will all graduate! Wow. I wish y’all the BEST in your successes! BYE! I would like to thank @uchopeful22 and @SweetCaliforniaWeather-12 for remembering me through this journey!
Well, it was fun while it lasted. I really thought I had a chance but I guess it is better to go to a place like Purdue which is offering a $30,000 scholarship compared to paying $60K per year as OOS. Goodnight guys and good luck. I visited there and its a nice place.
@SmartGurl17 I am sorry to hear that. If I remember correctly you were accepted for UT Austin right!! I haven’t decided if I will go to UCI yet (still waiting on a couple more results) but UT Austin is not a bad choice either. Its practically my second home. you’d love it there if you do decide to go.

@uchopeful2022 Yes, I was accepted. I just REALLY wanted to live in California, and I wanted senior year to be just OVER, so that I could move, and that hope is now shattered.
