Since, my son is in NJ ( one of the most highly rated rigorous public school) and SAT score does not matter for UCs, not sure how meaningful it will be but still stating it. 3.8 uw, 4.67 w; 1520 SAT; 10 AP till junior ( AP physics C mech + e&m, physics 1, chem, cs A, cs P, calc ab and bc, stats, English) all 5 and 4s. 3 more in senior year + multi variable. Sr year trending 4 uw. Hope it helps. Other than one course, all other non AP course were honors. I know UC does not give credit for honors course outside CA.

Yes, it is possible especially if the admitted waitlist students decline their admission.

I have not seen an EE major admits but it does not mean there were none since not all admits will post their decisions. Just hang in there and hopefully there will be more admits posting.

My daughter just got off UC Irvine waitlist for biological sciences. :tada:but she was accepted last week off UCLA waitlist physiological sciences so she will decline UCI offer.

Got off yesterday 5/15 at 5 pst for major in school of social sciences!

These are the majors and dates of admitted waitlisted students that I have compiled so far.

In-state Business Admin/CS/CSE/Informatics/Civil Engineering/BME/Physics/Art History/SWE/Film & Media/Chemistry/Aerospace Eng/ME/Nursing/Materials Engineering plus OOS Comp Engineering/Public Health/Physics/Biology on May 4.
International Mechanical Engineering and Instate Psychology/Biology/Sociology/Bioengineering/Pol Sci/Anthropology/EE on May 15.

UCI has just posted denials for Freshman waitlisted students on Thursday July 2 around 5 PM PST on the waitlist is now closed.

Best of luck to all the waitlisted students and love the school that loves you back.
