If it’s not articulated there’s not much you can do unless there’s a CC nearby that offers it

@WhatIsTorque so I’m taking (per 2019-2020 agreement)
Major Prep
EECS 70A Network Analysis I (Circuit Analysis)
Note: apparently this articulation is new so it will take into effect after our application cycle so anyone applying Fall 2020 will be required to take this class for admissionAdditional Major Req
Physics 51A Modern Physics
(Modern Physics)
EECS 70LA Network Analysis I Laboratory (Circuit Analysis Lab)Additional Major Electives
EECS 20 Computer Systems and C Programming (Data Structures with C++)Guess they’re all in UCI’s major articulation for Electrical Engineering!
I had the time to take all of these classes because I planned it out well, and I skipped Calc 1 and 2 and I was able to apply to all schools with the requirements done (with an exception to UCR but I was accepted!) I didn’t take many GEs so maybe that’s why I had so much time
Ah okay so you’re mainly taking the additional major requirements right now. Do you happen to know if the additional major reqs are required for TAG? It states that they are not required for transfer consideration but I’m unsure if that applies to TAG as well.
They shouldn’t be required I just took them otherwise I wouldn’t have any classes to take this semester

@westsideboi oh cool haha
can i ask whatt is your gpa for EE when u applied?
3.56 bit on the lower side because I had a bad start at CC
sorry for keep spamming u with questions HAHAHA but uhmm u told me that its ok to skip a class if its not offered at my cc but do u know if it will affect my TAG? did it affect your friends TAG?
I might need to you to remind me what class it was. I know someone that got in that’s missing a chemistry class for Mechanical Engineering idk how but they got in with TAG. My friend had a class offered this semester that he actually withdrew from because he found out the articulation for that class took into effect this year.
As far as I know the UCI counselor said if you don’t have all of your major prep requirements done you won’t be considered. Hopefully your class is just recommended or something?
Im a bme major. the class (at UCI) is BME 60B but it says “no course articulated”. the thing that im worrying about is that its required.
Edit: the gpa when i applied was 3.49 but increased it to a 3.52 after winter quarter. idk if its low but its within in admit range :neutral:

just found out that there’s a cc pretty close to my house that offers the class but then again, the timing is conflicted with my linear algebra class. idek how to explain this to the UC lol but i prioritize my math first.

Hmmm I’m not sure how this will turn out usually schools like UCLA and Cal would care but idk about UCI let’s hope for the best?

Then you should be fine!!
Is today the day? (Friday) or is there a possibility that we’ll find out on Monday. I’m getting impatient lol
Do UCs evaluate based on TAU GPA submitted in January?
Hopefully it’s today because I’m really starting to lose my mind with the wait. Literally made an account just so I could post about the 2389472938 year long wait

Ahh gotcha!
Would we get an email saying our portal has been updated? Is anyone waiting for that email? Or is everyone just sitting and refreshing haha

Yeah but people have said the email does not usually come until a few hours after the portal has been updated, so I think everyone’s just refreshing and waiting on that wave to start rolling!

Usually they do send an email saying that there is an update on the portal, but the email sometimes comes several hours after you can already see the decision on the portal
I’m not ready for another day of disappointment. I really hope its today…

I believe it will be today. It is because according to the UC’s pdf "Fall 2020 UC Campus Admission Decision Notification Timeline, " we can see that UCI’s transfer decisions are planned to be out in mid-April. Davis is another school that planned to have their transfer decisions out in mid-April, and they released their decisions yesterday, although its portal mentioned “all decisions will be posted before late-April.”
You can find the pdf by searching “Fall 2020 UC Campus Admission Decision Notification Timeline” on Google.
