If anybody is still on the fence, here is our experience.
S22 is graduating this quarter majoring in CS at UCR. The academic experience (do not know much about outside of academics as a hands off parent) has been very good. The lower div classes has very good professors (especially the two prof millers and prof knight) and courses are well taught. The upper div professors are approachable outside of class and during office hours. It is easy to get involved in research by talking to professors and they are ranked high in research rankings (like csrankings.org).
