UC San Diego Fall 2015 Transfer Thread

I wouldn’t worry about. It’s just mere speculation coming from people becoming anxious to get any sign of what their decision is.

Housing message changed
Major: Philosophy
GPA: 3.44
IGETC: Yes, in the spring
Pre Reqs: all done
TAG: No
Applied: UCSC, UCD, UCSD, UCLA, UCR, UCB
Accepted: UCSC,UCR
Rejected: None yet

Somewhere in UCSD the dean laughs at all the speculation.

I mean it’s speculation but the stats from the previous threads are so strong :’(

Wait, so which is the “good” message and which is the “bad” message?

There’s the unchanged one "Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact the Housing Office at 858-534-4010 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 4pm. "

and the changed one “The Housing Office currently does not have updated information on your Admission Status and therefore cannot accept a housing application today. You may come back to this link once Admissions has communicated their decision on your application to UC San Diego. You can check this by logging in at myapplication.ucsd.edu.”

Had to make an account so that I’d stop checking this page so often and just get notified instead lol

Hope to double minor in Business and Accounting since I’m receiving my associates in Business Administration

Very involved at school with:
Honors Program, Phi Theta Kappa, Work, Clubs, Volunteering

22 units in progress this semester, but I took

22 units spring 2014

Working perfectly fine for me!

Mine is still up^

Urggh, so like I made myself a promise that I wouldn’t get sucked into this whole housing message thing, and not check the housing message at all while decisions are coming out. But since everyone was talking about it today, curiosity got the best of me and I checked and it’s not the new housing message that showed up today. And now I’m like so much more worried :(. And I know this is all speculation, but I just can’t help thinking that this will lead to bad news for me :(. Any words of comfort here guys? Ahah D:

My words of comfort are that it looks like you’d rather go to Davis anyway

maybe those who got the new housing message is in the second batch?

@lbwaterpoloman hahahah. That one made me laugh! But actually I made this account back in high school, and I wanted to go to davis then! But now my top choice is UCSD, hence why im anxious about this  LOL.

@lovechoco I like that theory actually, I really hope that’s true. D:

Hopefully we’ll be the transfer class that finally validates the housing trick for future transfers looking at past threads lol

Got home from work, saw 99+ messages, thought ‘oh decisions must have been released’.

But no, 99 messages about the housing statement =))

@BaayAreaTransfer that’s a good idea, why don’t everyone post “good” or “bad” message along with their decisions when they come out, it’ll make it easier for future applicants to do the statistics on whether the housing trick is reliable
