I’ve been reading this thread for months now, but never actually participated. I finally decided to write my stats to give next year’s students something to compare themselves to.
I was accepted as a Human Biology major with a 3.67 GPA with MANY missing courses.
I haven’t taken a single calc class, no physics and no ochem. I got a C in the first half of general bio and another C in the second half of general chemistry. I had great essays, and I also wrote about a special circumstance that caused me to get those two C’s (all my other grades were A’s and one or two B’s)
I would also like to mention that my school is known for being super difficult in the science department. Many schools accept students with lower GPAs because they know how difficult my CC is. (according to counselors and teachers at my school at least)
I thought I would be rejected for sure, but I was accepted!
Don’t give up. Keep working your butt off because it will pay off!
