Anyone applying for mechanical engineering (or any engineering for that matter) have their banner disappear? I have a feeling it has something to do with major. 4.0/4.35 capped, in-state, applying mech. e specializing materials engineering, banner still here

applied CS to UCSD and got banner. i have high stats, super hard rigor, very good awards and ecs, and decent piqs. still not enough for CS ig 
. for context i got UCD CS and able to log into UCI fin aid page (CS major asw).
is there any hope for ppl with competitive majors who still has banner lol

Perhaps admissions saw the social media reaction to the banner and in response reset everyone until decision-time?

Putting this here in case it happens next year. “#3 Prestige” banner or tile disappeared on Friday March 6 for a large group of people. It seemed to happen all at once, no waves. It returned today for everyone on March 10. Will come back and update after admissions if it was an admit or not.

In the same boat here I’m hoping for a waitlist for UCSD rn, but if the UCI astrology turns out to be right I’ll be very happy, I’m glad I have that and UCD (all for CS)
