Sharing waitlist movement: My student got off the waitlist on Monday for molecular, cell, and developmental biology. He was given until 5/26 to make a decision.

I have been admitted off the waitlist for the 2025 fall term. I just received the acceptance email on May 19.

Hello, do you mind letting me know if your student chooses to accept his offer or not? Iâm also in the waitlist for MCD bio, but Iâm slowly starting to lose a bit of hope as each day passes by. Congrats to him on getting off though!
Me too lol. I applied business but I havent seen anyone get off. But if this helps, a guy on reddit told me not to worry and he got off in august last year for CS. So we should still have hope!!!

Does anyone else have any movement? Based on last yearâs dates, yesterday wouldâve been a day when kids got off the waitlist, but we havenât heard anything. Son would be a History MajorâŠ
I am also waiting for history, iâve heard nothing unfortunately.

Ive heard that UCSB and UCSD are slowing down if not done by now, hopefully that means UCSC will start moving since theyre typically at the end of the trickle down âeffectâ. Please correct me if im wrong.

Guys when are they pulling people off. Itâs been a month since weâve seen any movement from the waitlist and Iâm getting kinda impatient. They wouldâve accepted some students by now.

I have not seen any waitlist movement since May 19. Either they are waiting for the other UCâs to finalize their waitlist admits or they are full and have no spots open. I have not heard anything either way to confirm.
I doubt they are full because they still have some majors that they didnât pull off the waitlist and a lot of people decommitted from UCSC
Unfortunately only admissions knows the status of their enrollment numbers so all anyone can do is move on until they hear if the waitlist is closed or if there is going to be more admits.
DS just got a rejection notice on the UCSC portal. Good luck to everyone else!

While we have been able to accept some students off our waitlist this year, regrettably, we wonât be able to offer you admission to our campus
For the condition that says gpa must not drop 1 whole point, is it talking about capped gpa?
Yes the GPA is the Capped weighted GPA.
As of July 11, UCSC has officially closed their waitlist.
