D was denied
DD was denied. Really thought they’d want (and need) a top URM.
My application profile was very engineering oriented and did not know UChicago did not have an eng school.
Really sad and cheering thing to know the day of decisions!! Actually great to be denied, it was not going to be at all my fit.
Son admitted!!!
Does anyone have the data from previous years’ RD release dates?
Son admitted!! Deferred from EA and opted for EDII.
Ok, so if I got my application checklist removed is that a bad thing (I applied RD). Does everyone get their checklist removed or is it only certain people?
What are the chances of being admitted RD if I was deferred EA and did not do EDII?
@mathisfun888 0.5% chance harder to get in after a deferral than RD
@TexasBelle428 my checklist also disappeared, but i know some people who still have theirs
In 2018, decisions were released late afternoon Fri, March 16th.
I’m just trying to get a rough estimate of when I might expect this year’s decisions to be released.
Last year RD came out on Friday 3/15.
Hi guys! Is it even possible that they’ll accept an international student who needs tons of aid RD? (from an extremely underrepresented country)
General possibility for any student is less. But if you’re essays,ECs and grades are great(exceptional level) and if you’re country very underrepresented you have a fair chance. Similar case for me too, can’t wait for the decision. Best of luck!
I self-reported my SAT subject tests in the testing portion of the common app, and I did consent to UChicago using my test scores.
However, my subject tests weren’t shown on my portal.
Do you think they’ve received them?
I wasn’t aware of the video portfolio and didn’t do it. Is there anyone else who didn’t do it? Will this hurt my chances? Are there people who didn’t do it and got in?
@kobe248224 my friend didn’t do it and got in ED
Is there one? I did not know…
^ This conversation is astonishing. The option to do a video profile is clearly included under “Application Materials.” Do applicants not read the College admissions page instructions before submitting? There’s a lot more to a school than what shows up on the Common Ap. website.
