Somehow UCHicago does have a reputation that “they do like them young” (under the condition that students took the most rigorous classes possible so far and finished high school). If you have the slightest doubt about their answer I recommend you to follow menloparkmom’s advice, also because it will put you in a much safer position when applying to other colleges which you will have to because you cannot bet on one horse in 12th grade. I would not surprise me though if admissions is more than interested in getting your application already this year without penalizing you when re-applying in 12th grade.</p>
