<p>I know this is a UChicago thread but I got accepted to Lewis and Clark College Iām guessing a few days ago!? Itās no U of C and I probably wonāt go there but at least Iāll have something to make me happy if Wednesday turns out to be dreadful. Did you guys EA to any other schools?</p>

<p>i EAād to fordham (got in yayyy) and babson and northeastern (finding out tomorrow, 3pm, wish me luck!) and georgetown and uchicago (finding out monday and wednesday).</p>

<p>Congrats Carter! UChicago or not, itās still an accomplishment! For me this is the only EA school. Itās my first choice, and pretty much my only one so yeahā¦</p>

Somos intelectuales grandes! Porque recitar las opiniones de otros significa erudicion, no?ā Pero regurgitacion no es comprension, y en realidad ellos pasan mas tiempo con el alcohol que con aprendizaje. Es triste; todos les gustan la idea de aprendizaje, pero solamente por la atencion de otros. Esto es porque me gusta Uchicago :)</p>

<p>So what do you guys think? e-readers or the real thing? Iām torn. I love the feel of real books, and THEIR SMELL (I know that sounds creepy). E readers just donāt have that.

<p>@crazychic E-readers do not give me the real feeling of reading. I love how books smell (so if you are creepy, I am too) and I really enjoy turning the page one by one. If I try reading on any type of screen I get tired really fast. This applies to fiction. I find more useful to read science books on e-readers because I can find information faster.</p>
<p>I love my old nook just because Iām cheap and with the nook I can find books free online haha. But I totally agree with loving the āfeelā of books, I have to switch back to them sometimes :p</p>
<p>I love old books. With their yellow pages and old-book smell, turning each page feels like Iām slipping into the book a little bit. digital screens just canāt absorb you like that. I think reading e books just isnāt as enjoyable.</p>
<p>@crazychic I once received from someone an old astronomy book. I think it was from the 60s. I think that is the oldest book I have ever came across. It didnāt quite met my expectations regarding the sensation I would have when I was trying to read it :/</p>
<p>@crazychic, I love old books too! The oldest book I have is from 1946 (the book says: 35th year of Republic of China), itās a book about trigonometry.</p>
<p>I have an old-ish poetry book ālisten to the warmā and reading it makes me so happy :)</p>
<p>The oldest book I have is a second edition of the oxford university pressā publication of the twelfth night (thatās not as old as it sounds, itās from the 1920s). I stole it frm my grandfatherās collection. He has the most amazing book collection ever! <3 He is my favorite person
