The best way to know your admission status is to wait for the official decision date and check your portal or email for the notification. Using inspect element or other methods to try to find out your decision early may cause unnecessary stress, anxiety, or disappointment. It may also violate the terms and conditions of the college application process and result in negative consequences.
Just sayin, pretty sure some colleges in the past rejected those who tried to get their decisions early through inspecting the code. 
IDK though, I find these portal astrology stuff very fun to read.

Inspecting code doesn’t send a request to Uchicago so there’s no way a school rejected over something so trivial either. I don’t where you’re getting this terms and conditions thing from but no harm done.

This is accessing a hidden page, which is different from purely observing the source code. Furthermore, this was 19 years ago, on a different platform, for MBA admissions and the people bypassed the system, not inspecting the code.

I’m just saying don’t be alarmed if some people have this and others have that those aren’t indicators of anything, unless it’s like the day before decisions are gonna be released.

By Mid-February is what they say, but wait for an official announcement then check your source codes and stuff for clues.
Anyone else check if they have code in the gray status portal? So far 3 for this portal and 1 for the non code portal. I’ll update the numbers as people report.
I just realized why there is no code for me on that page. Since I haven’t seen the code I might be wrong but I believe that the code is about creating the “An update was posted” status update box. (Am I right?)
I don’t have that code because I already have that box on my portal from the previous round (Deferred EA).
