UChicago Early Action / Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admission

Withdraw button disappear lol

Yes same it has happened with everyone

I think they have already made decisions.

it might mean you’re deferred .

Still have the withdraw option showing. Wonder what that means.

i think deffered not really sure actually

Decisions are out–deferred here

Deferred also

4.0/4.93 deferred, 21 AP’s, ranked 1/350, all A’s since elementary school :grinning:.
Feel ED is exclusively designed for young CEO/founders & big donor’s kids.
Okay, let’s dash into the RD round, all T-20 private colleges.

Deferred. Early action.

I have no problem with a shotgun strategy but the list needs to be thoughtful. Top 20 makes zero sense as the schools on that list can be very different from each other. Do they all even have your major? It’s also a waste of time because you are unlikely to put together a compelling application for a school that is not a fit in any form and that will result in a rejection. Save your $80.

T20 just saying (kidding).

So far he has applied for 1 ED (Columbia deferred) 4 EA (1 admitted, Fordham with $285,000/4-year merit scholarship, 1 deferred (Chicago), 2 pending for results (Tulane & Northeastern), as well as other 5 RD (Princeton, Northwestern, NYU, Williams, BU). And yes, the colleges are major-oriented (Applied Math/Finance/Econ). He will apply for 6-7 more colleges this winter break. Wish it is practically doable.

Wish good luck to everyone!

Does anyone know how EA Deferred applications are reviewed in the ED2 round? Does it go back to “square 1” where the entire application is reviewed from start in the new pool of candidates?

Congratulations! Do you know if many summer students took advantage of ED0? Did many/most get in? I have a dc who is interested in this for this summer/next yr.

Anyone know when the ED2 results are coming in this year please? Thanks
