My point is the LSAT is very challenging. Test taking tricks are useful. So perhaps I was overly sensitive to not having aced it! Your general points however are well taken!
The LSAT curve doesn’t exactly look like the top-heavy M2 subject test, where something like 20% of testers get a perfect (scaled) score. Not sure how often the LSAT is re-normed, but currently it looks like only 1% of the testing population scores 173 or higher. You you are testing against a more select group than you were with the SAT/ACT so, all else equal, it will be harder to “ace” the LSAT. Yes, it’s learnable - all these tests are “learnable” - so not sure how that fact automatically helps any one particular tester, especially at the higher end of the distribution.
