<p>Gave em another phone call. I wouldn’t count on the next 2-3 days, guys. They said “this week,” which I’m guessing means until Friday. Also, though it doesn’t really apply to me, I asked what they suggest to do if other schools are asking for SIRs, and they said that unfortunately, you have to just risk the non-refundable fee. How very kind of them.</p>

<p>If UCI had a cutoff GPA, they probably would have eliminated those below it in the big batch of rejections. Also, we have already seen tons of people getting in with lower than a 3.8.</p>

<p>If I hear another person tell me, “well at least you haven’t been rejected yet …” I think I’m going to PUNCH THEM!!!</p>

<p>I called admissions and got the same response, ‘should be’ done by Friday. I then asked if I was the bottom of the barrel for still hearing nothing and I was told, “no admissions is random” … riiiight. Sure doesn’t feel like it is!! </p>

<p>After talking to her I didn’t feel any better, if anything I felt like crying and then screaming and throwing things. Huge stats test on Wednesday that I cannot focus on. Pssssh LAME!</p>

<p>@paanicitsbridget Dude, you’re not at the bottom of the barrel and when you say stuff like that on the thread it just brings down everyone’s morale. I’m a 3.7 and I’m still waiting to hear. I doubt it’s random, but it probably has to do with how full your major is or something like that. The last few answers have all been acceptances, and if you take a look at last year’s thread, the last day was chock full of acceptances as well. So yeah, I know you feel like punching stuff, but just let the chips fall where they may. You have no idea what’s going to happen in the next week, and I for one feel like I have license to stay positive.</p>
