Uci acceptance

I wish I could just forget about it until next week. I’m so thankful for this thread though. You guys have kept me sane and even kept my moral up…relatively. I’d be way more bummed without you. Thanks guys!!!

No one else rejected from sb today?

I didn’t apply there. Did they send out a bunch of rejections today? :(

Yup. UCI is my last UC. On top of that, it’s pretty much the only place I did most of the pre-recommended stuff, and I thought the highest probability was me getting in there. Hopefully they see that I only did courses for UCI and take me =(

That sucks. You didn’t get in anywhere else??

C’mon UCI!

Nope. 3.17
Will finish everything except 2nd quarter of calc, comp sci class, and MAYBE java on assist.org, didn’t really look at anywhere elses
IGETC finished, didnt report foreign language from HS yet
Essay = strong, wrote about experiences as a counselor dealing with youths and their developing personalities
EC = Worked at google full time while going to school, also worked for SJSU mentoring program.
Transfering from CCC, 94 units BEFORE spring, 110+ after.

Accepted: NO WHERE
Rejected: UCLA, UCSB, UCD, UCSD
Pending: UCI

do or die, UCI.

Your stats are better than mine! I hope you get in!!

i feel like calling admissions tomorrow and crying

maybe they will give me a decision then.

hahahahahhahaha

it really doesn’t sound like a bad idea right now

IM ****ING DESPERATE

Plz call them and cry and let me know what happens.

@kokonutz

My situation is so much like yours. My GPA is a little lower, but I also have everything besides the computer/calculus class.

I also worked one full time job and one part time job while going to school and will have about 85 units at the end of this semester.

My first rejection was to UCSB. I have been rejected to everywhere I applied so far (UCSB, UCSD and UCLA) I really need UCI to come through too.

I hope we get in!

I was thinking of calling them and volunteering my services to help em get these decisions OUT!!! I think its bull that they’re acting so nonchalant about taking forever!!

ANDDDD it’s a week after “deadline”. No OFFICIAL delay notice.
No email. No decision. Noooothing.
:/

Reading everyone’s frustrated post I decided to join in. I’m too waiting for UCI and I would be so ****ed if I didnt get in. The only UC i got into has been UCR which is still a UC but I would love the chance to choose.

@doUCme whats your major?

I only got into UCR as well… and CSULB and CSUF and CSULA but the deadline for CSULA passed already so if I don’t get into UCI i’m headed to UCR or one of the CS but I live in LA and the UCR housing deadline is MAY 10? I think? SOOOOO I would have to commute :frowning: Which I do not want to do but I might HAVE to. IDK I haven’t made up my mind yet but yeah UCI puts me in a **** position, I’m about to MSSG them & call. I’m fed up with this **** and I do get accepted I’m worried they’re going to be this unprofessional about everything. It just sucks.

ugh, when I checked my email, first thing I saw was “CONGRATULATIONS on your admission…”, but then when I read the subject title further, it said, “CONGRATULATIONS on your admission to UC Davis.” Here I was, expecting the email to be from UCI, but it’s from Davis instead (and they’ve been sending me congratulatory emails ever since I got admitted). Come on, UCI. What’s taking so long?

Just called them. We should expect one single batch to come out with all the decisions by the end of this weekend. Most likely on Sunday (98% chance according to the guy on the phone)
Hang in there guys!!! It is almost over!

Does that mean nothing is comming out today? :[

@6666677777
The housing deadline for UCR is May 10th!!?!??! How is that possible if the SIR deadline is June 1st???
How is this all even fair!?!?!?

GUYS! ACCEPTED!

“Congratulations!
You have been admitted with
conditions. Your letter of admission
and Transfer Conditions for
Admission, specifying the terms of
your provisional admission, will
be mailed shortly.”
