@almaa_card123 as stated above, nursing is definitely one of the most selective majors and even more in UCI. Here is a link to the stats of admitted freshman this year with a 3.5% admitted rate. Definitely apply to more than one nursing school BUT keep in mind that UCLA and UCI are the only UC’s I know that admit you into the nursing major as a freshman. CSU’s require you to reapply junior year into the nursing program so during your freshman and sophomore years at a CSU, you will be a
“pre-nursing” major.

I got accepted to the UCI nursing program as a transfer for this Fall so I’m not too sure what to do to increase your chances in applying at the freshman level. Definitely check out that link and hope it helps!
