@firstgenblackman I was accepted to UCR, UCSB, UCSC, waitlisted at Davis. I give up on Davis because I know that I won’t be getting of the waitlist (chances are slim to none of being accepted from a waitlist didn’t apply to Berkley, LA or SD

@katastrophic - If you decide to stick with nursing, I would seriously consider CSULB. They have one of the best nursing programs in the state, and I would argue they are THE best of the schools you listed. If you really want to do nursing, then stick with it! If you’re really wanting to pursue nursing and you change your major now, you may end up really regretting it down the road. If you work hard during your two years of prereqs and gen ed, then you’ll be set when it comes time to apply to nursing programs!

@mf18233 - Honestly, UCI’s admissions almost seems like a lottery to me. Of course it’s NOT a lottery, but the patterns I’ve seen certainly SEEM like it. I’ve seen some of the worst get admitted and some of the best get denied. I’m not sure what’s going on here.

@firstgenblackman I don’t know, I’m sort of leaning more towards SJSU-more affordable I guess? I got a scholarship for UCR but its still a lot to pay But I still have a month to decide Good Luck with UCI

So it’s straight to Riverside or Davis if we get rejected from Irvine, huh?

Maybe they want a batch of mostly average qualified freshmen this year. As an experiment for analytical data and to test potential for future reference perhaps?

@ralphyboy my friends got SAT 1490 and 1600, but they still got acceptance letters two days ago…I am not sure UCI officers whether lost their mind…

[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: This rejection confused me, to be entirely honest. I’m guessing Irvine really looked at the GPA for this one. Doesn’t help that a lot of kids at my school applied, either, I’m sure.[/li][/ul]General Comments: Good luck and congrats to all you future Anteaters! :)

@Ralphyboy My exact situation. My UC GPA is 3.5 and my SAT is 1840, but besides that I don’t have very many ECs either. I was hoping to make up for that with SAT Subject Tests so I took Bio M and Chem. Did pretty well on Bio and got a 700 and did average on chem with a 650. I’m also taking Chemistry at Cal State Uni. Guess we’ll have to wait and see what the ad com decides :-SS
