<p>I heard that last year, UCI was able to accept everyone off of their waitlist…
admissions were ****ed up this year. Many of you definitely deserved to get in.</p>

<p>Keep in mind that just because of the fact that there even is a waitlist does not guarantee a single person will get in.</p>

<p>@junshik, granted, but I think the reason we’re all so surprised is because it fell from 100% to (seemingly) 0%</p>
<p>damn UCI is becoming really hard to get in now since massive kids in California and ppl from out-of-state want to go to schools in california. UCI is becoming more selective every year.</p>
<p>Agreed, I am also quite surprised at the stats of many students who have been rejected, 2100’s, very high GPA’s, quite a few EC’s, etc.</p>

<p>O_____O That’s so odd since my friend got accepted from the waitlist a long time ago. Perhaps they sent out a wave of acceptances before SIR was due and now they’re rejecting? Not sure though. My friend ended up going to UCSD, so his spot hopefully goes to someone else?

<p>really? that is so weird cuz wen i called the admissions lady about waitlisted people she said that noone would know before SIRs were due. But who knows the admissions people are never helpful anyways</p>
<p>I just talked to him; he found out before SIR around the last two weeks of April. He had called them a bunch of times asking them if they could do anything and he found out through email.</p>
<p>Yeah, I think one of my friends got in the same way…said he got accepted about a week before SIR, but I don’t know how or if he had the same deadline</p>

can’t believe how much harder it got this year. thought I had a very high shot at making it…</p>
