<p>I think… if I end up attending UCLA, I’ll appeal for a different major. I know it’s hard, but it’s worth the shot. But for now, I’m just happy. :)</p>

<p>For example, I won an award for “Outstanding Abstract” and a “UCI Grant” at the HTCC conference. These are the people who write TAP and Tag out…</p>

<p>As a bonus I rode the bus for the past year because of financial strain on my family, I had to wake up extremely early lost hours of the day riding buses. Maybe the bus thing is stupid.</p>

Major: Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology
GPA: 3.95 (avg of this major last year: 3.65)
Prereqs: all done
IGETC: missing 1 or 2 classes but my counselor said UCLA doesn’t even care abt IGETC if you major in science and have a whole load of units
EC: a lots in high school, now tutor, research, volunteer, clubs…
Essays: feel pretty confident about them, even fixed for some of my friends
Reasons for pending: I think because I emailed UCLA and have an update on my schedule for this quarter and all the grades that I got for winter classes LAST WEEK (gosh I was so stupid, I shoulda waited till this week but it’s all good now)</p>

<p>I thought the UCLA online decision site is the only way we see our status until I saw you guys saying URSA all the time on here. So I just signed an account by my 9 digit no. shown on the online decision site, and see what my URSA have. But it shows cannot access for most of the links. Did I misunderstood? How did you guys check your status on URSA?</p>

<p>You must register as a “new student” using the ID number in the top right corner of your decision page. Then, you can see URSA.</p>
<p>It looks as if it is a requirement to see the SIR icon on URSA in order to be accepted, and this happens between 1-12 hours before the actual decision is posted. If you don’t see the icon, you are either rejected or pending in the next batch.</p>

<p>umm i applied as Anthropology B.A. with Global Studies Alt. at UCLA so i highly doubt that they would give me my alt. over Anthro cuz the Global Studies gpa average was higher than my gpa…so…meh. </p>
<p>i spoke to my friend about my weird and drab pending admission decision and he told me that last year he had the same one. they didnt let him know until May 2, 2009!!!
and he got rejected and by that time it was too late to appeal. and he was explaining something important but…blah blah blah i tuned out cuz i was caught up with something but i’ll talk to him again and pay attention this time and ask him for advice.</p>
