I think it was “new info” about who I am. I also name dropped some names from CCCP programs and such that I participated in at UCLA over the years. I kept it real but I kept it light. A little sob story but I really spoke to my goals and where THEY fit into MY plans. I looked at what they look for in a student and I said I was that person and that UCLA was a part of my ultimate plan. I was just honest about what I wanted to do in the future and told them that I have Grit and could do it and I just needed a chance to prove it. I think it alllll depends on who reads your application that day.
