<p>I work with high school students and very few of them got into UC Irvine this year. I think it sometimes seems like some schools are safeties from your high school because lots of kids get in - Irvine hasn’t been one for years!</p>
<p>Irvine does have a large Asian student population. So does UC Berkeley, UCLA and San Diego, too. </p>
