if i want to switch to accounting major or some type of business major do i go talk to the Economic undergraduate adviser?

We’re only allowed to sign up for 10 units with priority pass and then and additional 10 with first pass? Or is the limit still 10 and we wait for second pass to get up to 19 units?

After you use your priority pass, your limit at the end of your first pass is still 10 units. You can’t add additional units (beyond 10), but you can exchange classes as long as you don’t exceed 10 units.

likewise, confused about 10 units first-pass limit for freshmen. i plan to take chem20L, math 31b, and either eng 3 PR physic 1A (according to HSSEA recommendations). am i going to die…only 3 classes? if chem 20L is already 7 units, how do i pick my other class during first-pass so that i don’t exceed the 10 unit limit???

i think you meant that chem20L + another class was already 7 units…since chem20L is only 3 units.

you’re capped at 10 units for your first pass. So in your case, you should sign up for chem20L and eng3/physics1A for your first pass because labs fill up fast and so does eng3 (i think?)

then when your second pass comes, you can sign up for the rest of your classes.

anyone know how to get past time/size limits on sites like megaupload or rapidshare? i make up for torrenting by using these sites but i hate the fact that they limit the amount you can download daily . i’ve tried anonmyous proxies, changing my ip, but they rarely work. any one know how to get around this?

oh, chem 20b and 20L are separate. got it. Ok, then my plan will be 20L and eng3. i couldn’t get eng3 last quarter, so i will try it again (took greek 10…that was all i could get). how bad will it be…chem20B, chem20L, math 31b, physica 1A and Eng 3. how far behind will i be if i don’t get physic 1a?

Pay.

People usually won’t take 5 classes at this point, but I think it is managable. Here, you have 3 easy-level courses and 2 medium-level courses.

If you were to drop a class, I think you should drop English Composition 3. You can take that next quarter; I think it’s time to move on in the math, chem, and physics series.

Plan B is to take 20L next quarter and take other four courses.

I’m currently considering dropping my GE Cluster (Global Environment). Is it common to drop a cluster and are there any ways this can hurt my transcripts or anything? I’m thinking no but just want to be safe. Also, do you know if there’s anyway I can try to get the Writing 2 credit to be applied to the fall quarter of do I just need to take another class that fulfills that req? Thanks in advance.

The writing II comes from the Spring seminar. You can’t apply it retrospectively to Fall. It won’t hurt your transcript because each quarter is a different class - you’re not ‘dropping’ anything technically. You’re just not taking the rest of the series.

on first pass, then i sign up for chem 20L, will i be required to sign up for 20B at the same time (co-requisites…that would eat up 7 units), or can i sign up ONLY for 20L and phys 1a, then on second pass pick up the 20B lecture? i can split up 20B and 20L, hopefully???

i believe the only way to do it is sign up for 20b, then you can sign up for 20L after you are in 20B, then drop 20B to sign up for physics 1A

so i really can’t sign up for 20L and phys 1a first pass (cc advice is to nail down the lab time first). then the plan is to get 20b and 20L (first pass=7 units…i can’t sign up for phys 1a, so i’m stuck). then on second pass, hope to get phys 1a and 31b??

no no, you can, just drop 20b after you sign up for 20L and sign up for physics 1A, the 20L class would still be enrolled although you dropped 20b…

many thanks kick53rv3! i am getting the idea.

what is the final exam procedure for chem 14bl… the code is 30 which is “see professor.” i emailed the prof but still havent gotten a response.

i believe that chem 14bl is similar to chem 20l where the final is on the last day of class and not during finals week…

Do chem labs really fill up the fastest? Cuz it seems like there is a larger proportion of chem 14b filled than chem 14bl right now…

soooooooo If I had priority, I have to wait until my second pass? wth.

Be glad you have priority to begin with.
