UCLA Bar - for those questions that take less than 5 posts to answer...

^

i think everything is answered on the site that Nit posted…

you check out at your front desk (the same place you check in). the deadlines are on the bottom. isn’t that all you need to know?

Okay, so it’s just at the front desk, and you don’t need any documents or anything? Sorry, I’m just a little anal-retentive and don’t want to be held up in checking out (as I need to catch a flight).

Thanks to both you and Nit for your help! (again, sorry about being rude before.)

You don’t have to “check out” - just lock your door and leave.

Hey, I think I’ll be staying here over Thanksgiving and I know that the dining halls will all be closed during that time. I’m an international student, have relatives near LA, but I don’t like spending time at their place. So I was wondering, where can I get some food (not expensive and not fast food) off-campus?

^ ralphs. 10char

Most people will just eat out all meals, or eat leftovers.

X POST

hey can anyone thats taken arts and architecture (arts encounters 10) help me out.

can someone send me one of their performance reviews so i can get an idea of how to write them? mine seem kinda bland and i need direction.

was the final a lot harder than the midterm? i dont get it…we only had 5 lectures after the midterm and then student performances started. will the performances be on the test?

also, can i still get an A without doing the extra credit presentation? a lot of people say that its really hard to do it without it, so im freakin out. i got an A on the midterm, though…

would it be okay for a first year to take an upper div psych class?

Short answer is yes if you feel prepared. Otherwise, test it out and drop it by fourth week or second week if it’s an impacted class.

polar, all you need is the proper class standing. so long as you are able to enroll through URSA- no problems!

i have found that in some of my psych classes that don’t have many requisites, material from classes i’ve taken previously has been helpful to know. however, my view of the major in general is that all the classes contribute to a general body of knowledge, and the particular order doesn’t really matter overall.

Do you guys think it will be difficult for a sophomore to get a university apartment (Westwood Chateau to be specific)? I’m looking to move out of the dorms next year, but I can’t decide between university apartments and private ones. Thanks.

Is the Student Solution Manual necessary for Stats 13?

I got the manual for Math 3C, and I don’t think it was worth it.

^ what professor?

if its christou, you dont even need the book.

seems like they fixed the trick where you could view the source of the textbook page and get the book isbn’s by adding some functions

can anyone else confirm that they no longer list the isbns? or is there now a new trick to finding them besides searching for the book title

Still works for me.

if the trick doesn’t work, do it the hard way: look at the source for the page and find it yourself.

the new number is the ISBN.

Thanks qipao and liyana!

Nope, I’m going to have Hansen.

i thought the trick was the hard way, looking at the source, w/e guess it was just the browser i was using

So, for future reference, does anyone know where the people who stay on campus during the winter break actually stay?

Thanks!
