is mgmt111: intro to operations research still offered anymore? i believe it’s been up in the past, but i don’t see any classes this year. if it’s out, what’s a similar kind of course that deals with op. research?

Will the class History of Dinosaurs be offered anytime soon or even offered again?

How do I stop getting text messages about internship opportunities at Kerckhoff?

I’m wondering the same thing about the text messages. Since I don’t have a texting plan I’m getting charged like 20 cents per text.

Go to Kerckhoff personally and punch that mother****er in the face!

When is the last day to drop? Also, when is the last day to change to pass no pass?

You’ve passed the week 4 deadline for no transcript notion. Pass/No Pass deadline was on February 13.

You can drop the class yourself by end of 7th week, Feb 20th, with a fee and the drop mark on your transcript. For Letters and Science you can actually drop with a transcript mark at end of 10th week if you can get your professor to agree.

Check the calender page at UCLA’s registrar website to see all the deadlines. If you want to try your luck you can ask your counselor about petitions to bypass the deadlines.

those kerckhoff motherf.uckers…they sent 1 text, and as if they thought it didn’t go through decided to send another 5 of the same one. and as if they were expecting a reply, they sent another 3 just to confirm it. bastards.

What does it mean if a class is closed for enrollment even though there’s no one enrolled and enrollment in general has started?

It will be opened up later during the enrollment process, such as for late first pass or second passes. This is to make sure that some people with bad enrollment times still have a shot at certain classes.

How would I get down to UC San Diego from UCLA early on this Saturday morning to be there by 9AM, and then back later that night, leaving around 8ish? I have no car.

Is there any way to find out when the classes will open?

For Sociology 1 it says closed. But at the top of the page under the class title it says no one can enroll until first pass starts (Feb.20). I guess for popular classes they don’t want it to fill up too much with priority people or something. Maybe they feel this way is more fair? See if the class you are looking at says something similar.

do people know how often departments give out pte numbers?

and if i need a pte to enroll in chinese?

and if i get a pte, am i guaranteed a stop in the class?

Will upper div courses MCDB/MIMG courses fill up on me? I’m planning on taking an upper div in the department as a biochem elective, but I can’t get in until 2nd pass.

Thoughts?

@peabeeandjay
If you have a PTE, you are guaranteed. Some departments don’t do PTEs like Chem and LS Core, while others, like Physics give them out readily.

Does anyone know if Stats 10 or 13 will be better preparation for Psych 100A? Thanks!

I’m nearing my unit max, and I forgot to petition earlier. My signup date is in the next 3 days. If I petition, would I get approved within the next few days or is it a long process where I have to wait weeks/months/semesters? I’m bettin on the latter.

What happens if I try to enroll in units pass my unit max?

Also, if I am a half time student, how will that affect my financial aid?

Thanks!

So we get room sign-up instructions on the 24th, but when do we find out if we were awarded a single, double, or triple?

they give you a time, then during that time you can sign up for whichever room you want as long as it is not taken

CC-UCLA has been awfully boring lately…where did everyone go? :(
