How do you view your grades on myucla? Ive checked all over it but cant find where Im supposed to look.

under the course name there’s a link for grades, look under lectures not discussions

So they posted Winter Quarter fees today, and they’re due in mid-December, but Financial Aid isn’t given out until January 1st…? Am I missing something here?

You have BruinDirect activated, right? You just need to pay the difference.

So it doesn’t matter if you’re late with the rest?

do you get loans? they always extend the payment deadline for people who receive loans

Anyone know how likely it is that people drop out of 6 series physics classes (6a) during the first few weeks (as in before the first test)?

I want to get in the class but it is currently full… I’ve observed that these classes always fill up before the quarter starts (tried to get in the class last spring/fall) but usually there are open spots by the end.

With that said, do professors generally allow students to do the hw/labs and turn them in for the first few weeks hoping that students would drop? EDIT: Is it worth it for me to bother doing this? or not likely that someone will drop in first few weeks?

I have the same question as the previous poster, but for Chem 14A (Scerri)

@bruin221, themoonisdown,

From my personal experience, I have gotten into these classes way before the first midterm. Usually within the first two weeks. Note that there are people that take the class and realize that they don’t like the class and they drop it. Just keep on attending it and those big lectures usually have enough for waitlists and more to get in by the end. Of course, there are some classes that don’t budge… but that’s been rare from what I’ve seen.

I have a winter class in “Broad 2160E”. Which building is Broad? Short for something?

^ [DMA . Information . Directions](http://dma.ucla.edu/info/directions.php)

How competitive is the UCLA Nursing program? As a transfer i have plenty of volunteer experience, good recommenders, and outstanding abilities in the hospital. Not to mention Im bilingual

@silvercross Thank you. That’ll be quite a walk!

So my roommate just told me that SAC offers free print for 10 papers per day. Do anyone know where exactly it is in the SAC?

Never mind…I finally figure out what location she was trying to tell me

Where is it?

When are fall 09 grades posted and/or finalized?

^ Profs are supposed to hand them in by two weeks after the final, but the reality is that they can hand them in whenever they want. I wouldn’t get worried about it though… I’ve heard horror stories from some people whose profs took over a month to hand in their grades, but I think those people are few and far between. Every class I’ve ever taken here, my profs have had the grades up by the deadline.

@uclacee
it’s on the left of the first floor, same place where you get old exams. You can always ask the info people if you’re unsure.

awesome…

Should I apply for housing now or somewhere in early January? (Would it make a difference?) I can always add my roommate preference later right?
