@eo2019 @keyshawnford92 @sakurako @bayboi707 I got it too. Anybody know the acceptance rate for those with te supplemental questionaire?
I’d like to know the opposite as well. People who have gotten in without a supplement.
I got into UMich and Georgia Tech for aerospace engineering. Still waiting for UCLA, how much more selective is UCLA compared to the two others do you guys think ? I’m full pay international btw.
@bayboi707 @keyshawnford92 @sakurako okay same here! Lol do you guys mind sharing your stats? And it’s crazy getting the supplemental, I cried! How do you guys feel about receiving it? UCLA is THAT school I see myself at honestly.
@dontdodrugs They’ll definitely send an email but it’s more than likely that the email will come a little after decisions are actually available. I think most students definitely hang around near the release time so we know decisions are out prior to the email.
@CSGoddess Wow, I feel for you. I’m in CA so the wait won’t be that bad…
@eo2019 Woah, don’t fret. Like a previous poster said it’s only sent to borderline applicants (I forget the reasons I think it’s talent, disability, and something else I don’t recall atm). Take some pride in your accomplishments up to this point! I sincerely hope you get into UCLA though.
what supplement?? what does that mean and where did you get it?
I stay watching videos on UCLA and wow it’s like I already know the campus and how it’s like.
It’s like L.A. is my second home!
@eo2019 I got a supp for my disability from UCLA and Berk
@eo2019 my stats are really bad tbh. 3.3 with 1600 sat, 23 act, 650 math level 2, 500 japanese. but my extracurriculars where what made me shine i guess. i had 5 clubs, president, vp, other board positions, participated in programs, and did research for one of the top schools in the nation
@cly0824 I heard on cc that it’s 6 percent, which is crazy. It’s a small number of applicants that get this supplement. Like, supposedly theres 3 piles: “accepted, rejected, needs additional information” maybe wait listed would be on there too
someone please explain what this supplement is…
@hallowdreams yeah, I know it’s borderline but besides gpa and sat scores its something they wanna see more of. I talked to my counselor about it and she said its like a second chance to redeem yourself lol
My daughter has been rejected by UCSD, Davis, & SB. ACT 30, 9 AP’s, weighted GPA 4.3, played varsity softball, volunteer work and held a job during school. Second generation college student and no hardships to speak of and not applying to financial aid. Not sure if she will get into UCLA. Not sure what the UC’s really want. She got accepted at USF with a full scholarship so she is safe in case no UC accepts her. It is pretty disappointing not to get into any UC’s so far. It was her dream to go to UCLA like her parents, so we will see on Friday.
@sakurako omg same Here. My stats are booty lol. I’ve never heard about it until now. But i have over 600 hours of community service and also been in 4 clubs all four years of high school including key club. But i think it’s my personal statement. I talked about hating my nigerian heritage and how I evolved from that into dance and performances
the supplement is sent to borderline applicants; you could look at it positively or negatively i guess. they sent them around feb. basically it were essay prompts based on extracurriculars, academic hardship, disability, and fall grades. I got the extracurriculars, academic hardship, and my fall grades. I spent so much time on it as i was freaking out. i’m just praying that this is my ticket in…
@hallowdreams I’m just hoping they release before 7… That’s 10 pm here, I don’t think I could take it for that long. Especially since I’ll have been up since five, longer if I can’t sleep (which I know I will happen). I will be a very grumpy person Friday. (And Saturday if I’m rejected).
@eo2019 I hope our stories get us in! #2moredays
