@ALLCAPS24 for what…?

Wait, the acceptance rate for UCLA was that low? Wow. Makes me certainly feel better about being waitlisted by Swarthmore…
Accepted, in-state.

ACCEPTED!
was highkey STRESS’d because of a rejection from Johns Hopkins and a deferral turned waitlist from UChicago, but this definitely makes up for it

I don’t see a lot of waitlist out there. I feel lucky.

yea @ALLCAPS24 where did you get this info

AND GUYS!! remember you can appeal your decision back to the admissions office. if ucla is truly your dream college make sure you appeal!!!

@lmaowhy please tell me you’re joking. Were you a recruited athlete or something?

oh yeah, dude who said that the likely letters=acceptance waaay back in the thread – you were right.
sorry for ever doubting you!

@JuicyMango GPA and test scores are by far the biggest parts of the app however (with GPA being weighted heavily)

@tarheels4life The acceptance rate is not 5.8%. It is more likely to be around 12-16%; class size is not the same as acceptance rate.

Is there a official fb group for 2021

Nvm I read the letter wrong the 6000 is only how much space they have. they probably accept more

Congrats to everyone who got in!

Waitlisted - First school I haven’t been outright accepted to, but nice to not be rejected
Mechanical Engineering
34 ACT
4.45 W GPA
Lots of EC’s, Awards and work experience
Invited to apply for UCLA Alumni Scholarship

I doubt the acceptance rate was 5%. They got 100,000 applicants. 5% would be 5000, their freshmen class is 6000 and considering yield they accept like double that. I would guess the acceptance rate was in the low to mid tens.

Rejected SAT 1440 GPA 3.89

@Scholar526 I was rejected from UChicago and Northwestern today, but I was really expecting that. I’m a little more disappointed UCLA than those but I guess the waitlist is better than it could be.
