Wow, guys, I’m severely disappointed in this thread. I took the time out of my day to share what information I learned. If you guys don’t believe, you don’t have to comment. BTW the person I talked to from UCLA is Paitzar Giourdjian. And yes, I attend El Camino College. She is the person assigned to my CC.

Sources SHMORCES - all the people in this thread are pretty intelligent just to have met UCLAs application standards alone, lets not worry about people being in the dark, keep the positive vibes.
@RoastedHamm Lol honestly I’d expect her to be in the UCLA admissions office like 24/7 right now, but idk how this process works anyway hahaha
She’s the assistant DIRECTOR of admissions, NOT an admissions officer. @bananahrr
@CalBear1998 oh my god I feel you. I’m trying to keep my expectations with roommates low so I don’t get dissapointed if we don’t become best friends; as long as they’re friendly, respectful of others, and decently clean: I’m happy
But I’m SO SCARED theyre gonna be dISGUSTING slobs, lock me out to hook up all the time, or never ever leave the room
@leomessi10yan I can second what @RoastedHamm said. An assistant director of admissions from UCLA (there are multiple assistant directors of admissions in their department) told me in my recent appointment with her last Wednesday that decisions would arrive on the 24th. Since she is involved with admissions, it’s safe to presume that they’ll arrive on the 24th.
I’m not trying to upset anyone or kill the vibe, I just want to report what I’ve been told so I can help get the message out in this thread that’s all.
Guys, ive personally met Paitzar Giourdjian multiple times, she does not have any insider information, shes literally a ucla representative that goes around schools trying to recruit people. She is not part of the admissions office.
@GoodAfternoonSir Thank you. I tried doing the same thing. Informing anxious students like myself about the information that I learned. But I just received a lot of people saying I “killed” the vibe.
LMAO forget it. Let’s just stop talking about the admission date. We will know tomorrow anyways.
@RoastedHamm Like I said, I wasn’t sure how this process works and who reads the applications. I was seconding what you said about it being confusing that she was at your college. Sorry if it sounded like I was accusing you of lying.
@leomessi10yan Have you looked at her UCLA contact information card? It literally says “Assistant Director of Admissions”. I would imagine you would have to be part of the admissions office to receive a title like that.
@bananahrr Nah, you’re good.
To be fair, almost all admission officers at other schools are “assistant director of admissions.” UCLA doesn’t have titles online but other schools do and many use that as a general name
I personally think its the 24th too but I know for sure that people like Paitzar Giourdjian dont have any information about actual admissions, for example November when she was in my CC I asked her stuff about personal statement review process and she told me that she doesnt know anything about that.
@RoastedHamm Thank you again for sharing the info with us!
@leomessi10yan Yeah I’m not sure what connections she has with the actual admissions. But its better than people posting what their CC counselor said about the UCLA admissions date because most CC counselors know nothing and are merely like us, guessing which day admissions will be.
But regardless, 1 day vs 7 days… both are soon We’re almost to the finish line!
Bc the way you say stuff is so negative. And I’m not living in a fantasy land. I clearly acknowledged what you said and I literally told you myself that it will most likely be the 24th as well. But after waiting 6 LONG months to hear back, it’s okay to have some hopes it could be earlier than predicted. And these people aren’t delusional either, they understand as well that it prob won’t be tomorrow. But that doesn’t mean you have to get all negative about it tho, that’s the difference. Although you’re most likely right about it being next week, you don’t have to be rude about it and call people liars. Stay positive. Maybe you’re the type of person who likes to think realistically and that helps you which is fine, but other people might find comfort in hoping it can be early, while still keeping in mind that it could be next week too.
The thing that’s helping me with this anxiety whether or not they release decisions tomorrow or the 24th or some other day is that I will know by the end of this month. These last couple months have been so stressful for all of us but in the grand scheme of our lives it is such a small percentage of it. I was thinking about how I’m gonna calm down my future children from this anxiety if they decide to apply to college. (I’m first gen so my parents have had 0 advice to give me ?)
So read some books, watch some movies, catch up on your to do lists, see your friends, pet a dog, and take care of yourself. You will find out this month. Arguing with each other on a forum is a waste of time (or a good way to pass the time if you like fighting on the Internet!)
Who is saying decisions gonna be out on this week? up squad
