@LAforlife Alright cool, thanks for the help!

No problem :)

Help - please clarify! My daughter is an OOS 2017 and has taken through level 3 of Spanish in HS. What is IGETC? Do her 3 years of spanish count for the requirement?

Any help is appreciated.

On this flyer given to me by my CC counselors, I think (it’s really hard to understand the foreign language part) I think it says that 2 years in high school is okay. Is this right?

I did two years of Latin in High school. Am I good as far as part 6A of the IGETC is concerned?

Worst case scenario I just take a 101 class for a foreign language?

Imafan: I think your daughter will be a Freshman applicant, correct? In that case, IGETC doesn’t apply. IGETC is a standardized transfer GE curriculum for students intending to transfer from California Community Colleges into UCs and selected other four-year schools as junior transfers.

If your student is an OOS transfer applicant… Seriously consider having her move to California early and attend a CCC. It’s much easier to be admitted to a UC from a CCC than from an OOS school.
