UCLA or Rice?

Hey,guys! Do you agree with my answers to the following questions?Do you think is fair to choose the one that I will go to according to which get higher scores? Please tell me your opinion!

1.Prestige, overall academic ranking or reputation.

For this,I choose Rice

2.Academic strength in my intended major.

UCLA

3.Geography: close enough to home.

UCLA

4.Climate.

I guess cal has better climate than texas, right? Vote for Ucla

5.Good vibes…felt at home.

Rice has #1 the quality of life. Vote for Rice

6.Location…it’s where I want to be!

I believe I prefer los angeles. Ucla

There are 6 questions.Ucla got 4 ,and Rice got 2.

So you make your decision!

You can’t go wrong either way, both are great schools, it’s really your personal preference

Residential colleges are only for residential purposes… they are not grouped by major. You are randomly placed in them.

I’m from Southern California, the weather is not that much of an improvement over Houston for most of the year.

You should also consider campus/student body size. Personally, I didn’t want a gigantic student body, and I visited UCLA and I didn’t like the sprawling campus, but you might have different preferences.

Hey,guys!I just decided to go to Rice at last!I feel so relief.Thank you for your help!

Congratulations! You’ll love it at Rice. And O-Week is amazing.

It sounds like a great decision for you. Rice is a great school. I think you mapped out your cost-benefit thing well for yourself; you seem more like a smaller-town person. Best of luck…

Thank you,blackeyedsusan and drax12!

Your peer group will be much, much stronger at Rice. That is, in essence, what college is all about.

You will love Rice. My daughter is a '07 grad and her experience at Rice was wonderful. She also loved Houston and took advantage of all it had to offer.
