@xMathx of course you can pumpkin!!

@UCdrone no they only have Oreos in them :frowning: lmao. Me and you both. I was just saying at least two schools wanted me :’(

@nooteboom, haha I’m just being silly at this point :P

@CCD, omg they have OREOS in them?! recipe please!!

@ DM1993

Here, I’ll help you out. Everyone here will tell you that what I’m about to do is rare, usually I would rip you out a new one.

Go here and see comment number 1, if you have trouble: Re-read comment #1

No, CAL is not my top choice…it’s just a dream. UCLA is not my top choice, I just really want it. Not one of these schools is my realistic choice, they are just dreams.

My only options are UCSD and UCI.

And you?

I have a feeling you will get into both @UCdrone.

@ College102

Thank you for the compliment, but seriously I’m joining the upcoming CAL rejection thread (it will be helpful for next year), and I’m still in planning process for throwing a UCLA rejection mixer.

When I get rejected, everyone will know…trust me, and I am SO NOT proud of that .

Will we receive an email when our decision is ready?

I gotta agree with @College102, it seems people like you always get into both.

btw I’m an out-of-state transfer from a four-year university and I’ve just recently got into UCSD with rejections from Davis and Santa Barbara… now all the UCLA tricks seem to work to me… If I get into Cal, LA and SD with rejections from Davis and SB I’d really be shocked about the randomness of UC’s decisions.

See ya either in SD or Cal or LA if we both in?

Oh confession:

Everything I’ve said is 100% true, but what I didn’t say is that I opened my Personal Statement with a Joke/funny true life story, that summed up my entire life experience. My trusted advisors: My cousin and husband warned me not to do that, but I did because its was a clear reflection of who I am.

The sad part? I would still resubmit my statement just as it is…

i feel like if i get rejected i dont know how i can pick my second choice by wednesday!! thats not enough time :/

@UCdrone

I honestly think starting your personal statement with a joke or funny story is not a bad idea. I feel most students tend to start their personal statements with a sad story which they might get tired of. Starting with something positive is good!

3 1/2 more hours~

@ College102

It is a HUGE risk! I don’t recommend it for anyone, my statement was designed to convey a feeling, and give insight to my psyche…

Like that is really gonna pay off… If I want to be productive, I should shower and go to Costco to buy more OXYCLEAN. I was folding laundry until 5am. That’s how anxious I am.

@UCdrone, Yes a huge risk indeed. I have not been able to study or do any of my homework…I am just waiting for this decision to come out even though I am 150% sure I will get rejected. UCLA is a dream for me but I was accepted to Davis which is not too bad either…

@UCdrone, I don’t think it’s a risk. A risk was writing your entire PS about UCLA, and then asking for admission from Cal and UCI ;)

@UCdrone: I don’t mean to sidetrack your question here, but… who are all of these nosy people I’m seeing around you by the moon card?

You ever think what if the person reading your personal statement was having a bad day and once they read your paper they were like it was good but my day sucked so rejected!

Lol

@xMathx yes Oreos :smiley: it’s quite simple really. One layer of brownie, one layer of Oreos, another layer of brownie and top it off with crumbled Oreos :smiley: nom nom nom!!!

I wish I didn’t tell anyone I applied here because now all of my family and some friends are texting asking me when I will know -.- ugh!!

I really enjoyed my personal statement!! I wouldn’t change it for the world. I wrote about how I met my father’s(who has been in prison for 18 years) side of the family for the first time at 19 years old (I am 20 going on 21). I felt it was pretty original.

@jrlovesseattle
I have thought about that 1,000,000 times!!!
