UCLA Transfer decisions out April 19th!

SWEET! I can see my finaid   WHOOO!!

For those of you who have on-campus for their housing, I was doing some research the other day, and UCLA doesn’t have transfer-specific housing like UCSD, right? From what I read, it seems transfers are mostly placed in triples in the off-campus apartments (that belong to UCLA).

Is this correct, or is there more to it?

when do you guys think we’ll learn about ā€œFinancial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Availableā€?

I need to know NOW. Lol. (deciding factor as to where I’m going!)

@ Nooteboom

You are being ignored for a reason:

Look at your Post and re-read the first sentence. You are not a continuing student, and you are definitely not admitted–as decisions have not been officially released.

That message, DOES NOT apply to your situation. If you were admitted, then you would call financial aid.

I wish Friday would just hurry up so I can get my crying over with lol

@ MrApple

Read the thread for the answer to your question. You will be ignored if you drop in to ask a question (taking) without helping others–especially when you ask questions that have been answered in the thread.

Seriously, again?! As long as your pre-reqs (not the Golden 4) are completed by this semester, you should be great. Considering your killer stats, you don’t have to worry about your grades this semester.

You will now owe us the LARGE coffee, LOL :)

You ARE getting in, now UCLA is just yanking your chain…

It says my total financial need is $17,000. Does that mean I’m going to get a grant from UCLA like they do with Irvine? Or does UCLA not do that…

dont see any of these. probably got rejected lol oh well

@ xMathx

I hear UCLA is not very generous, Wintergreeen claimed that she got a lot of money, but I think she misread the summary.

Last year, I don’t remember seeing any comments about UCI being so generous, I think they screwed up. Some people were put on wait lists, who were accepted into UCLA. I think that kind of f&^% up made top talent SIR elsewhere. Maybe that’s why they are being so generous this year.

You still have until June 1 to SIR

What’s your major? Want to post your stats?

@UCdrone I was waiting for you to give a good talking to to some ppl that keep posting/asking the same stuff over and over and over😁 thank you for that!

And a giant mug of coffee it is lol. Thank you for your kind words.
i thought I was catching a small cold but it ended up tackling the crap out of me today. Fever and what knot so ill be back tomorrow hopefully. Good luck all :)

@UCdrone

I chose bizcon…might have been a bad idea since its so impacted lol. I always knew UCLA was a reach for me though. Aimed more towards UCI…which I’m still waiting to hear a decision from.

GPA 3.2-3.3ish
EC: I boasted primarily about my work experience. I work full time as a professional photographer. (wrote more about my experience with photography and how it changed my life) I also help run/manage two other businesses as well including a very popular online photography magazine (writing and a lot of back end work) and a product company that sells designer photography/laptop bags and accessories. ( was doing a lot of back end work as well…in addition to marketing/pr work)

HAHAHA, I’m yelling at people for walking on our lawn! Take 12 hour Sudafed. I had that and that’s what the Doctor recommended. My husband got sick too, and he hates Sudafed, but guess what? He took it, and he was still functional. We were sick for a few days. Take care and GOOD LUCK. Don’t forget to check and keep us updated :)

@ speakbraille

Have you checked out the average GPA for those who applied to your major? Here’s the link:

[Profile of Admitted Transfer Students by Major, Fall 2012 - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/adm_tr/Tr_Prof12_mjr.htm#SEAS)

Yes I know the avg GPA is insanely high LOL.

I’ve been working so much that I’ve been kinda slacking in school. but I plan to cut work down just a little bit when I transfer somewhere hopefully.

@ speakbraille

Congratulations on working full time and going to school! That can’t be easy, I know I couldn’t do it :)

Have you been accepted to any other schools yet? I’ve been accepted to UCI and UCSD…just haven’t decided.

Hey guys, is anyone familiar with the blue and gold opportunity? On my UCI and UCSB financial aid award letters it says I’m eligible, but I’m unsure of whether I have fill out any additional information or if it’s all done through the info I have on my fafsa. I’ve tried figuring it out on my own, but I’m still uncertain. Thanks!

@ kwhitty

Nope, you’re done! FAFSA determines eligibility…I am envious, LOL :)
