UCLA Transfer decisions out April 19th!

@appleslices
A guy who went to my CC last year had a 3.5 applied as a Poli Sci major and got accepted into his alt.

Omg I swear if I get rejected I’m going to go jump off the top of a building. Lmao

Someone call an ambulance. We have a crazy guy here.

I work in the ER can I help? Who do we need to 51/50?

I hope less Poli Sci majors applied this year ahahahaha. If not then this is what I will see tomorrow–>

posting a rejection letter is ok here right?</p>

here was my blow

After careful review of your application for admission, we sincerely regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission for the Fall Quarter 2006. Let me assure you that we understand and share your disappointment.

UCLA continues to receive more applications for admission than we can accommodate in our freshman class. For fall 2006, we received more than 47,000 applications for 4,625 available spaces for freshmen.

Each application is unique, and each student presents wonderful attributes and potential. Our work is extraordinarily difficult: Admission officers thoroughly review each application and carefully balance grades, coursework, test scores, honors, awards, community service, leadership, and work experience. Admission officers also consider the opportunities and challenges students face while achieving so much in their schools and communities. Ultimately, no single attribute or achievement guarantees admission—there are simply too many well-qualified, accomplished, and capable applicants for the number of freshman spaces available at UCLA.

Undoubtedly, your accomplishments assure you a place at another outstanding college or university. Although I realize our decision might be disappointing for you, we are sure you will have many opportunities to achieve your educational goals.

If attending the University of California remains your ambition, you should know that there are other opportunities for admission. Qualified California residents who are not admitted by any of the campuses to which they have applied may be offered freshman admission by another UC campus. UCLA also accepts applications from junior-level transfer students.
Again, I wish you every success in achieving your educational goals.

Sincerely,
Dr. Vu Thanh Tran
Director

My heart is POUNDING! I don’t know if I can make it alive by tomorrow…

@heatzz it was like an hour before the decisions came out! I’ll probably be checking around 1 :p

@crazycollegedays ugh I don’t think I’ll go if I get in for my alt. have you tried the tricks

@appleslices
I never put “summer session student” like a dummy so now I must await my fate lol

i didn’t do the summer session thing either…

I think I’ll stay up all night until about 5 am just so I will sleep all day lmao

Dang you guys talk alot in one day that I’m not online! Lol.
Good luck tomorrow everyone hope we all get in. Looking forward to that cup of coffee @UCdrone :)

@ jrlovesseattle

You’ll have to come down to UCSD, or UCI to have it! Until tomorrow, I’ve only got 2 options. You have to move down, when you SIR UCLA, don’t you?

I can’t wait till 5pm tomorrow, I think I’m going to die xD I have an exam at 10am tomorrow as well, how am i suppose to focus?!

Does anyone know if UCLA will send out an email informing us decisions are up, or do we have to obsessively check around 5pm (not that we won’t be obsessively checking all day anyway)?

Kwhitty that’s a good question. I know that I obsessed over checking Davis’ portal and they ended up sending me a congratulations email like 10 minutes later!

@ kwhitty

Do you think any of us have any self-control to wait until UCLA gets around to sending emails? When I got into UCSD (first batch), I got my letter in the mail before I was notified by email.

Less then 24 hours…

Yeah, I know we’ll all be checking like crazy either way hahaha. I believe I got an email from every other school I applied to informing me that decisions are up. Gaaaaahh!!! I’m beginning to get insanely anxious. Tomorrow is going to be a LONG day. I’ll probably be sitting at work and reading this thread all day!

@UCdrone yup. I live in fresno

LESS THAN 24 HOURS!!! God it’s been a long wait, good luck to everyone and thank you all for giving me something to obsess over until decisions come out lol

With UCSD, I honestly forgot I applied until my letter came in the mail in early April lmao
