<p>Who else thinks it’s BS that we have to pay for “orientation”? To me, it should be included in the high costs we are already paying to attend the UC.</p>
<p>The additional fee for a guest just sounds like another gimmick to squeeze some more money out of us. Honestly, if we can be charged so much for something that should be done as a courtesy on behalf of the school, I don’t know what else we can’t be charged for. </p>
<p>I’m sorry if my reaction seems a little dramatic but every dollar counts. My family qualifies as middle-class which translated to ZERO financial aid. And if this is common practice at all UC’s, I wonder how all the parent’s scrape up enough dough for these occasions.</p>
