hmm i feel like its too late in the day to release decisions ![]()
i just wanna know also too UCSD needs to get their act together.

Guy on UCSB section of CC said that there’s maintenance til 10pm.

bumping this, UCSB’s site was down for some time and now is back up. I’m still pending, but I am interested if anyone else got some news?

Anyone accepted still don’t have their Unofficial Award Letter (Fin-aid) yet?

I was accepted 24 hours ago and all I see is “Your initial 2011-2012 FAFSA was received by the federal processor on 2/23/2011.”

@sam0318 are you tagged to SD?

How long does it normally take for financial aid to appear? I was accepted last Friday, but I’m still getting the “accepted on 2/1/2011” message. I filled out FAFSA pretty early… Not sure why there’s such a delay.

I’m still pending

@nick_scheu i got my package the day after i got accepted o.o which was like two weeks ago.

still pendinnnnnnnnnng.

So I got accepted to UCLA, but am still pending for UCSB. Don’t really care, 'cause I’m gonna go to UCLA anyways, unless UCSB offers me some INSANE financial aid.

Electrical Engineering

All pre-reqs done (except for 2 that my CCC doesn’t offer. They’re computer science classes, but the CS classes I’ve taken cover all of the material, and much more.)
Good EC’s
Good Essays (just like everyone else

Employment

I’m kind of surprised that they might not let me in. Especially since UCLA not only admitted me, they offered me an AMAZING financial aid package, including need-based and merit-based scholarships.
I feel like I got rejected by the fat girl, but the hottest chick in town is practically ripping her clothes off in an attempt to entice me. Confusing…

^^ no offense to fat girls.

Calm your tits and tone down the ******baggery
SB is a great school and some people are still waiting in agony for their first choice.

^^ All of that was meant to say is that UCLA has a lower acceptance rate, and I would have thought that a “no” from UCSB would have been a “no” from the other UCs as well.

Hell, if UCSB offered me the same fin aid as UCLA, I would be seriously considering going to UCSB. Nicer campus. Better environment. UCLA vs UCSB would be an incredibly difficult choice for me. And to anyone who’s interested in “prestige” for their undergrad degree, you’re an idiot. Nobody cares.

UCSB isn’t the proverbial “fat chick” because it’s a bad school. It just has a better acceptance rate, i.e. it’s the one that I thought I would have a better shot at getting into. I’d sell my soul to the devil to go to either UCSB or UCLA. I’m just glad that I won’t have to resort to such extremes.

Using your metaphors,

:( The hot chick rejected me, and I’m waiting to see how much the fat chick will shell out for me to take her. :P

Still pending!!! AAAHHH!!

got in today…finnnnnnally! econ major

@HiAcceptMe

Congrats!
