Appeal tab is gone, still says decision pending on portal. Has anyone else received a rejection on their appeal?
What do you mean by done? That they sent out all of the acceptances or they finished making the decisions?
My appeal was not approved
How (and when) did you find out?
Saw on the UC Berkeley appeal thread that some people got their decisions, so I checked but did not hear back. So I decided to check UCSB while I was at it and in the portal under appeal status it said not approved.
I found out around 3 I think.
Hey guys iām a transfer student and got accepted into UCSB yesterday! I was rejected and submitted an appeal for CS but i got into my second choice. I donāt have a good gpa but i still got in!
I submitted an appeal a while ago but now Iām not so sure that it actually went through because my admissions portal never changed whatsoever. When I would press on the appeal tab (which is now gone) it would just be the instructions for how to submit the appeal. And my rejection letter has always been there. Can someone confirm this? I worked really hard on the appeal and definitely submitted it but I guess something went wrong?
@yerbaddict
That happened to us for USC. They lost our appeal, we even had gotten an email confirmation. The UCSB portal said appeal received-decision pending after we submitted, then it just changed a couple days ago to not approved. You should contact them, but I donāt think they will do anything unfortunately. Did you SIR somewhere else that you like?
After submitting the appeal you should be able to see āappeal pendingā status on the portal.
Yeah there was never an appeal status for me, everything on the portal just went back to the same way it was after I pressed submitāI guess my computer glitched or something Yes I SIRād to UCSC and still waiting on UCB waitlist. Just kinda upset that Iāve been waiting to hear back from UCSB for months and my appeal never even went through lol.
Sorry this has been really challenging and stressful with everything going on. It will work out. The worst that can happen is if you donāt like UCSC you can transfer. UCSB takes a lot of transfers. It seems to be easier to get in at several UCās as a junior transfer than a freshman. UCSC is a great school though too.
