Ucsb decision

@knightmight I just logged on a few minutes ago, I hadn’t checked at 4 if that is what you’re asking.

Not to kinda be random…
But I did talk to the director of the honors program and she said so long as you had a 3.6+ (if you’re coming from a CCC) then you’ll automatically get into the program-I can’t believe i’m seeing people with amazing stats not getting in! Wth! lol

see?

http://www.honors.ltsc.ucsb.edu/elgblty.php</a></p>

I got into Honors College, 3.88 Gpa, forgot to mention that.

Interesting!

@Lustrous- did it say clearly that you were admitted with honors, or did you search for it somewhere?

I’m still pending at UCSB, UCI, UCSD!
Why does it seem like everyone is getting accepted except for me!
Now I’m all paranoid that I messed something up.

Heres my stats:

3.47
Bus Econ
No Tags
Finish IGETC this semester
A bunch of ec’s.

Why am I not hearing anything!?!?!

are you missing calculus?

@califooya omg i’m in the same boat as you! I applied to ucsd and ucsb and i still havent heard anything! Im starting to wonder too if something went wrong :(

3.78 communications
tag for both
done with igetc and all the pre reqs
good ecs

yeah I haven’t taken calculus yet. I’ve taken everything else though leading up to it. I was hoping to take calc at a UC.

sorry to tell you this then your chance of getting in anywhere is close to nil

Calculus is basically required for Business econ

How about my second choice which was criminology?

your secondary major is possible or a lock pretty much but for business econ not so much

what are the policies at UC’s right now for changing majors. Lets say I get into uci for criminology, but later decide i want to change to bus econ. do you know of any possible options like that?

[UCI Change of Major Criteria: School of Social Sciences](http://www.changeofmajor.uci.edu/CoM_SocSci.html)

Plus you have to wait a semester and i don’t think you can sign up for upper division econ classes. you need Calc 1+2 in order to take those iirc. I’m actually not too sure the entire process it would depend on the school but i don’t think it would be too hard

Accepted
Major: Sociology
GPA: 3.07
TAG: Yes
IGETC: Completed
Pre-Reqs: Completed

Unlike most of you guys, SB is my first choice so I’m pretty excited. Good luck to the rest of ya.

So if you don’t get into your first choice, do you still have a chance at your alternative major? or are your chances a lot less?

Hey guys:

Accepted.
GPA - 4.0
Film/Media Studies Major
No TAG
IGETC

Sad to say SB is my 4-5-6th choice…but it still feels great to know a university wants you!

Yeah I’m wondering about changing major too, I applied as Computer Engineering but have realized I’m not such a big fan of programming and would rather just get the hardware side so I want to change to Electrical Engineering. I’ve heard switching from L&S to Engineering is hard but does anyone know if it’s feasible to just switch from one engineering major to another?

heeyy
accepted:
GPA- 4.0
Pre Business Econ
IGETC missing 1/2
major prereqs done

Status: accepted
GPA: 3.93
Major: Pre Business Econ
IGETC: yes
Prereqs: yes

yay time to chill with all the white people

is it reasonable to assume that if you have not been accepted as a business econ major today (the majority of the people accepted today are either econ or business econ) then you most likely will not be accepted?
