@jelmax001 mechE major still pending here too. All required prereq & about 85% of reccomended prereqs will be done by spring. 3.75 GPA, 2 year transfer.
Is “Strongly Recommended Advanced Preparation Courses” so critical in admission? I rejected from UCSB missing three of strongly recommended prereqs.
@Leo622 @ItsAPotato I only missed one courses under “STRONGLY RECOMMENDED ADVANCED PREPARATION COURSES : M6”. For the MAE major, i will finish all the required prereq in this Spring.
@aedie1 maybe… i’m waiting for UCSD and UCD. but i will try to ask admission office to change to MAE…well… i know it is almost impossible :((
@jelmax001 how did you do in the MAE related courses though? maybe you were more competitive for your alternate major courses.
I think my chance is really low since I missed 2 major required courses. All my MAE friends in my CC got rejected by SB because of 2 missing courses. The main reason is that these 2 engineering courses are only transferable to SB but not for SD, LA, and Berkeley. I hope my ECs could help a little bit(Engineering research experience at UCLA and some research presentation awards).

Major: Electrical Engineering
Alternate Major: Mathematics
UC-Transferable GPA: 3.2-ish
IGETC: complete
Prereq’s: Everything except Matlab for ee, everything for math.
EC’s: Really good. President of STEM Club, two NASA internships, honors society, and a bunch of other stuff.
PS: Pretty good, had a lot of insight and editing from people. Would rate 8/10
