UCSB Fall 2018 Transfer Thread (Including TAG)

idk how many of you guys applied to USC last year but after going through that the UC wait doesn’t seem so bad LOL. USC didn’t start releasing a majority of decisions until late May and rolling through mid july!! Like imagine adding another month and a half to the UC wait. After applying with a 4.00 I had to wait until June to receive my rejection lmao

@lovela are you on the UCSD thread as well? I just posted some new info there

As for all of us here, try not to take all of the signs so seriously, they are just trying to get admissions out

@foreverwaitinguc my idiot ex neighbor got in with a 3.1 and a criminal record. i wouldn’t sweat a 3.55

If this is helpful in any way…
I got accepted on March 20

Major: Global Studies (which was my second-choice major when asked in the app. I wanted Econ originally)
GPA: 3.34
TAG: no, but tagged UCSC(pending final admission)
Also accepted to: SJSU

Hey Everyone! I had a quick question, my cumulative gpa for CC is 3.3 however, my gpa for UC transferable work is a 3.4. According to the conditions of admission I need to maintain a 3.0 gpa, is this gpa cumulative or uc transferable only?

UC-transferable. ^^

i was accepted through the portal the first round, but just a heads up that my admission packet came in the mail today!

@popmode you need a 3.0 for all UC transferable classes this semester. I called this morning to confirm.

If you don’t mind me asking, where do you reside? @sumgal1997

South Bay/Beach cities area in SoCal!:slight_smile:
