I understand why I’m waitlist too 
I mean it’s not all just grades. ECs matter too, but then again, even my grades don’t compare.
I might as well prepare myself to be on the waitlist, but I would prefer it if SB could take me out of the darkness by telling me earlier.
I got accepted to track 6 yesterday. I’m in 9th grade, gpa 4.05 uw. It’s my first choice so I’m happy!
But they didn’t ask for ECs. Did they?

Also, if you don’t mind, when did your application go under review? It’s been 2+ weeks for me and I haven’t heard back yet and I’m getting nervous.

I mean i wrote that i published a research paper, shadowed at a hospital, did passion projects involving ai, play varsity volleyball isn’t that what you do in a personal statement?

Not much, read books about bio and joined the research club. And cross country running plus designing computer hardware.
I don’t have big projects like what you mentioned
