<p>Talk to the teacher that gave you a D and tell him/her your situation. I was in the same situation as you. I got into Berkeley but I got a D in my English class (mainly because my seat was in the back of the glass and I had bad vision and no glasses). I went to talk to my English teacher with my parents, and she gave me a C- so that I would be able to goto college (even though the English teacher didn’t even really like me).
go above your teacher’s head. talk to the principal or some other administrator. don’t give up just keep on persisting. ask if you can do any extra credit or something. and if nothing works its not the end of the world. you can always goto a community college or state school and then transfer to a school even better than ucsc.</p>
