<p>Guys, all of those rankings are different.</p>
<p>SJTU rankings are basically based on science & research, which IMO is very accurate. Have you seen UCSD’s R&D stats? Shiet.</p>
<p>THES is more on prestige, which also makes sense for the most part.</p>
<p>Washington Monthly’s rankings are based on what universities do for the country. It has nothing to do with prestige or with what school is better to attend. It’s simpy about what school produces more good for the nation. What helps the nation more…? The school that really only rich kids can afford to go to? Or the great public schools that (almost) anyone can afford to go. Go figure.</p>
<p>Chill out. UCSD is an awesome school and has pleanty of prestigue and whatnot. Don’t get so worked up over rankings :)</p>
