Did your housing application change before?

I really don’t know
I don’t feel like looking back through the thread but what are your pre-reqs? Have you taken a class that transfers as BILD 3 (ecology)? A lot of people miss that. Gen chem, Ochem, full phys seq, up to calc 3?

Anyone who got in with communication? and NO Tag?

@ktran13

yeah it’s reliable. i emailed them myself today and they replied right away. they tell you to write it in a transfer work in progress update form as well, and they send the link to that in the email.

Accepted today.

Major: Ecology, Behavior, & Evolution
GPA: 3.6
No Tag

I’m transferring from a CSU, so I’m half expecting to receive an email saying that they messed up.

@killmyentourage
I haven’t taken Ochem yet but I finished all Gen chem.
By end of this semester I finish Calc 2 and Phys 1.
Do I have to take ecology class too for biochem and all pre-reqs are should be
done no matter what?

You should stay at your CC for another year and finish all those classes. Apply for TAG, finish your IGETC and you could for sure get into their Bio Dept. Just keep your GPA up. It sucks to stay another year, but sometimes it’s worth it in the end.

@iynnannyi

ya, my your housing application is changed, but i don’t know when that happenned

@killmyentourage
Yeah, I think your advice is definitely right.
I think this year is little early for me too.
I just don’t understand why UCSD is still pending me! lol
Thanks, Good luck!

@Pianocat
I went to express counseling at my cc. The counselor gave me the phone# of my local admission representative(or something like that). I called her and told her I was dropping a course and she said most likely nothing will happen but she put a note in my file that I was dropping the course.

On two separate occasions before counseling I called UCSD. First time a young girl told me as long as I have 60 units and satisfied my TAG its okay to drop. The second time an older man told me I have guaranteed admission but I could lose my major.

I also found this <a href=“Web Login Service - Stale Request”>https://eforms.ucsd.edu/_layouts/FormServer.aspx?XsnLocation=https://eforms.ucsd.edu/FormServerTemplates/Adm_AcademiChangesTransfer.xsn&Source=https://eforms.ucsd.edu/_layouts/IPFormsRedirector.aspx&DefaultItemOpen=1
and I’m not sure if I have to fill it out because I called my local rep.

@scrump what do you plan on doing with microbio? i really wanna get into that major therefore im super jealous hahah

Damn, I’ve known I was admitted since mid March. Wonder why all the other decisions took so long.

Is there anyone that has been accepted that did not receive that early housing application notification?

so i just got accepted today but undeclared major since biology major is impacted. How hard is it to get into major if i consider transfer to UCSD

@Cannotwait just one last question. How did you tell them? Did you just tell them that you drop a class or do you have to tell them reason why you drop them? Thanks!

If we were rejected, can we call and find out exactly why we were rejected before we appeal?

@ktran13 I just told them that I dropped a class. I didn’t state a reason why

Wow, so I was accepted after allll these days when I already made my decision on UCSB
