UCSD Acceptance

@isus39
what financial information?

@babygurl: You gotta send in your tax forms and a couple verification sheets.

@Oliver_Twist - DUDE! Congrats!! I am like you and Grimes… waited another year to get into UCSD. but wait, didn’t i remember correctly that you wanted to get into UCLA? Did you hear back??

@Grimes - Guess what? You wouldn’t believe it. :)

@isus39 hey, I have the same question. They wanted us to do the Verification Worksheet by May 1st with signature and have it send to UCSD by mail. How do we able to do that by May 1st?

@Dobbisafreelf - Congratulations! Were you attending CSUSD when you applied to UCSD? I was wondering if the area of the CSU made a difference in the selection. As another csu student trying to transfer into the UC system, was the GPA listed on your csu transcripts the GPA used by the UC admissions…how did you calculate your gpa for UC admission coming from a CSU? The UC’s apparently only allow a very small percentage of transfers from 4 year colleges, and I had heard that this year the majority of the transfers accepted from 4 year colleges were going to be from OOS colleges.

Hi Guys, the financial aid deadline caught be by surprise when I first read it as well. But correct me if I’m wrong, according to the financial aid page:

Your application must be completed by May 1st in order to be considered for university grants, loans or work-study, assuming all eligibility requirements are met. To receive an official UCSD Financial Aid Award Notification, you must:

By May 1st, provide the UCSD Financial Aid Office with:
Additional information if requested.

So on the last paragraph, it says “if requested”, so I guess if you did not hear anything from them you don’t have to worry as long as you turned-in your FAFSA before March 2nd.

Is my assumption correct?

@itzcaroll: Grats to you! and haha nah that UCLA person was someone else I believe. So you are headed to UCSD too?

i have a 3.9 GPA, but i’m transferring from an OOS university. i have all the required pre-reqs done. i got into UCLA for bio so i’ll probably end up going there regardless, but UCSD has a really good bio program so i’ll def consider if i get into UCSD.

I got an email from them also reminding me to submit the verification. Kind of annoying, it’s going to be a hassle to get everything by the 1st.

@Oliver_Twist - Ummm not anymore. I actually conflicted about where I should be going. I got into UCLA yesterday. UCLA vs. UCSD?

Accepted to Revelle College. I applied as bioengineering but have to choose a new major because it’s sooooo impacted.

it’s 3 a.m. on the east coast and i can’t log in? never happened before. could it mean smg :)

:(

anybody giving it a shot?

when the last batch of ucsd came out? please be not rejection. Did UCSD even send out rejection yet?

Anyone else getting this while trying to access the Housing Application:

TritonLink is retrieving your record…
This can take up to several seconds. Please be patient!

Does it mean anything or am I just tripping?

Also, I don’t think I’ve heard of SD rejections yet, which kind of scares me.
